Explanation of the procedures, directives and guidelines to be observed for the production and commercialization of certified seeds and nursery plants. Explanation of the regulated procedures for the production of certified seeds and nursery plants as well as the pre and post-control of the production of plants and seeds in coordination with the administration.

Specialization and present lines of research:

-        Improvement of resistance to the (Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus, TSWV) in tomato and pepper.

-        Improvement of resistance to the (ToMV Tomato Mosaic Virus) tomato mosaic virus in tomato.

-        Improvement of resistance to the sweet cucumber (Cucumber Mosaic Virus, PepMV) mosaic virus in tomato.

-        Improvement of traditional varieties of tomato.
